The twelve batteries can be displayed together or separated. Each one carries a pocket-sized, netsuke-like presence.
Though the stones are ancient, their new forms invite considerations of our present and future: the longevity of our electricity supply, rivers as life and power, and our heavy reliance on these sources.
‘Power Line’ invites reflection on where our energy comes from and how we depend on it, linking mineral history with current energy concerns.
