Dale Frank Australian, b. 1959
Australian artist Dale Frank began his prolific career in the 70s and has since become internationally renowned. Though working with a variety of modalities and media, Frank is perhaps most recognisable for his glossy resin and Perspex artworks. The works, created through poured or wet application of acrylic resin, are distinctive in colour, fluidity, and finish.
Frank has twice participated in the Venice Biennale and was recognised with a major solo retrospective at the Museum of Contemporary Art, also winning the Arthur Guy Memorial Painting Prize from the Bendigo Art Gallery. His work is held in every major public collection in Australia and in many museums and private and corporate collections across the pacific and the world.
